We are pleased to announce that the College of Paramedics of Nova Scotia (CPNS) has migrated under the Nova Scotia Regulated Health Professions Act (RHPA) and is continuing its operations under the new name Nova Scotia Regulator of Paramedicine (NSRoP).
As NSRoP continues to develop its regulatory tools under the Nova Scotia Regulated Health Professions Act (RHPA), the Board recognized the need to develop additional bylaws in relation to subsequent Boards, Officers of the Board, and appointment Board and Committee members.
At the Board’s September 27, 2024, Meeting (Session 3) Legal Counsel from McInnes Cooper presented language to address the additional bylaws. With some minor amendments, the Board approved those bylaws for the purpose of obtaining feedback in accordance with Regulated Health Profession Act (RHPA) Section 12(3).
Feedback, per RHPA Section 12(4), will be further considered by the Board before the bylaws are finalized and approved by the Board.
Thank you for your time and attention to this consultation process. We look forward to receiving your feedback and support.
